Before performing vein treatment and therapy, Dr. Groves will collect a comprehensive health history and inquire about any medications you are currently taking. He may advise you to stop smoking, refrain from alcohol use, and avoid blood-thinning medications, including aspirin, for a week or so before your procedure.
The Cutera CoolGlide method does not require any incisions — only the delivery of laser waves into the affected veins. Some patients report a slight stinging sensation during the procedure, which typically lasts only briefly.
You may experience redness for a few days after the procedure. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, Dr. Groves may recommend wearing support stockings for a week or two after the procedure.
More than one treatment may be needed to achieve optimal results, and the number of sessions will impact your cost. During your consultation, we will discuss the cost and go over our payment options to find one that best suits your needs.
Some procedures may be covered by medical insurance. Our staff is experienced in matters related to insurance and will work closely with your carrier to ensure you receive maximum coverage. In the event a procedure is not covered, we offer financing options through CareCredit and Alphaeon Credit. We will be happy to assist you in filling out the necessary application. Alternatively, you may apply on the CareCredit website prior to your appointment. We partner with SunTrust Bank to offer low, fixed-interest-rate loans to patients with good to excellent credit for all cosmetic procedures.
