What’s the First Step?
To help you get started along your journey to a more sculpted, streamlined upper body profile, Dr. Groves will meet with you for a private consultation at his state-of-the-art facility in Macon. This first session will entail an in-depth review of your cosmetic goals, a response to all your questions and concerns, and a thorough physical and medical evaluation. Once your surgery date has been set, the doctor may ask you to do the following:
- Quit smoking at least 4-6 weeks prior to male breast reduction
- Undergo additional medical testing if needed
- Discontinue certain medications that could increase surgical risks
- Fill all your prescriptions ahead of time
- Schedule a friend, helper, or family member to drive you home after surgery and assist you for the first 1-2 days.
