What’s the First Step?
Your initial step is to sit down with Dr. Groves for a private discussion regarding your goals and wishes for improvement. During this initial consultation, the doctor will carefully listen to your objectives for the surgery, address your questions, and outline what you can expect in terms of risks, benefits, recovery, costs, and results associated with implant removal.
Once your candidacy has been approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to best prepare for your procedure. If you smoke, you will need to quit at least 4-6 weeks before and after surgery. You may also be asked to discontinue certain medications that might increase your risk of swelling or bruising. Lastly, you should fill prescriptions ahead of time and schedule a helper to drive you home after the procedure.
